Abby Jane Green studied in New York and London before graduating from Brigham Young University in Art History and Curatorial Studies. She is a gifted artist and has enjoyed contributing to The Gathering of Friends cookbook series. She is Michelle Huxtable’s oldest daughter and loves to work with her mother. She and her husband Tyson enjoy creating savory Italian recipes. They reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.


The Gathering of Friends Volume Two: Let’s Make Food Your Love Language was created by Michelle Huxtable with the help of her daughters: Abby Jane Green, Rachael Crittenden, Maggie Fish and Grace and Chlo’e Huxtable. They each share a love for creating savory recipes and especially gathering together to celebrate life.


Michelle Huxtable has successfully created gathering places for many years as an interior designer. As a talented chef, her passion for creating a comfortable gathering place is motivated by her innate desire to surround herself and others with beauty. She feels that food is a love language and that carefully preparing a meal is a genuine expression of oneself. A creative, artistic flare embellishes everything she does. She also enjoys working with her husband in the construction industry building residential homes. She has six children and nine grandchildren. They reside in Holladay, Utah.
Alyse Christensen graduated from the University of Utah with her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication – Business. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has also lived in Vienna, Austria, The Netherlands and Seattle,Washington. She now resides in Holladay, Utah with her husband and four young children. Raised in a home where entertaining was an important part of family life, Alyse quickly learned that, no matter where she lives, she makes her home a place where friends and family gather.
